Our paths are not the same. Two completely different worlds, shaped in different ways, under completely different circumstances. That is not good or bad, better or worse, easier or harder, it just is. We live the lives we have, as it was of our own choosing.
After a year you could be much farther along than I. I could regress. That is the beauty of it. It takes immense courage to surrender trust to follow the path to Truth. No attachment to outcome, certainly not to a timeline. Just how we were intended to be.
