This very simple prayer was shared with me many years ago, handwritten on a small card. It meant a lot to the person who gave it to me, assuredly it got them through many hard times over the course of a long life. Here it can live on and hopefully give strength to one (or many!) out there that need it:
I kneel and cross myself
Arms for battle at my side
Soldier of Christ they call me
And I fear nothing.
There is never anything to fear. Only love is real.
